2012 Citroen C3 eHDi Oil Filter location - Help please!

Not for me but I've been asked the following through the CCC, can anyone shed any light where they've hidden it?

I own a Citroen C3 diesel VTR+ EHDI. Can anyone tell me where the engine oil
filter is sited and how to access it for an oil change?

The car is a 62 (2012) plate.

I have removed the panel on the underside and located the sump drain plug.
But there is no sign of the oil filter.

I have always had a Citroen diesel car and on previous models, i.e. Visa, BX,
the filter is clearly visible and easily accessible by opening the bonnet..
Not with this car.

Its the new 8v 1.6 HDi related to the DV6 engine.

Oil filter is NOT a conventional Spin on canister Franklin, its just a paper eliment.

I think its still in the same place but access from under the bonnet, reome the Air Intake Pipe from the Air cleaner to the intake, and under it, to the RIGHT lower side of the turbo is a BLACK circular thing with a 32mm HEX HEAD on it.

Unscrew it and the paper filter comes away with it, REMEMBER to fit the new BLACK oil seal on the cap before re fitting. LOOK carefully, there IS a seal on it, but being ALL black its hard to see!!!

You just see the bottom of the filter cover on the left of this picture (courtesy of Lighty ) - about 2/3 of the way down, under the turbo oil feed pipe (the one with the silver foil on it!). Turbo and DPF removed for clarity



Be aware it's a filthy job, the filter clips into the lid, and needs a good tug to pull it off. Fit the new filter to the housing - ensuring the spigot engages, and then screw the lid back on (not as easy as it sounds!).

BLACK circular thing with a 32mm HEX HEAD on it.

I Guessed the Size of the filter head.. bear in mind Light's picture above is back to front, and taken from standing on the engine, not in front of the car..
