Hi All,
My wife just came home and informed me that my C5 2.0 HDI 138bhp is making a funny noise. I've just been out and it sounds like an electrical noise coming from the fuse box and a funny electrical burning smell. I started the engine and the noise disappeared, I stopped the engine where the noise appeared again after 30 seconds. I disconnected the battery and left it a couple of minutes then reconnected the battery and again after 30 seconds the electrical buzzing started. For this evening I've had to disconnect the battery. Has anyone experienced the same issue or any ideas what's buzzing.
Kind regards,
Chris

Maybe a relay on the way out? My old xsara 1.9 d turbo did the same til it finally went pop and the indicators stopped working

Re: Electrical buzzing noise from fuse box
Had another look this afternoon and the noise was coming from the glow plug relay that sits under the ECU. Got a price from citroen £42.75.
Thank again

Did you check the connections? A corroded connection can cause high resistance which in turn causes heat and burning smells.
