Do you change pads often enough to justify it, though?
I usually use a pair of longish-jawed pliers, applied straight-on to the caliper, with the jaws in the slots.

Recently bought a set of Silverline hammer through screwdrivers with square section shanks specifically for this job, I need to change my discs and pads soon and they've proved invaluable in the past, so much so the whole set gradually disappeared over the years. Was very pleased to find they were still available and the set of six only cost about seven quid.

I finally bought a set when I had to do the rear pads on the C4 which needs a LH rewind on one side. After years struggling with BXs and Xantias, it was a joy to use, and made mincemeat of the front calipers on the C4 - got to do the Xantia soon, almost looking forward to it! You can get cheaper on e-bay - I would say invaluable even if you only use it once!!
