Evening all,
just as we wondered down the drive this avo, glanced at the car and saw a bubble, opp place for a water bead, remembered seeing an s2 xant Ets. on ebay last year with Bad rust on the rear arch area's,
Now, am i right in assuming that somethings up inside the wheel arch causing it?? Is it a case of wheel off, clean up, treat etc. or is it Inside a cavity???
(the white paint scrape on the arch was me backing in a bit Too close to the handrail by the steps to our door! )
Rust bubble appeared in the past week!!!! (xantia)

Timmo,
The water gets in between the 2 metal skins under the wheel arch and is suppose to drain through the some hole/s at the bottom. I can't remember if it is the sills or bottom of the arch. These holes are often block with muck etc.
Had similar problem on old Mk2 estate.

you should be able to repair the blistered/pin holed outer, then douse the inside with the likes of waxoil, gain access through the rear light aperture ( lamp removed ) and blast the waxoil along inside the joint of the inner and outer wing/arch

Re: Rust bubble appeared in the past week!!!! (xantia)
I feel your pain. I was just hosing my S2 Estate last week and noticed a similar sized blister on the N/S wing
I have been using Dynax S50 in Aerosol form and have been impressed with it, although have not sprayed that area yet. Once the gales and rain stop I will get in and about. I always hose under the wheel arches every few weeks and tons of mud & crud falls out. I live down a forest track and spend hours driving on muddy minor roads frequented by tractors etc, so I rely on flooded rainy roads to force a lot of the mud out most of the time!!!!!
