Hi, Wise and wizened one's..
When I take my foot off the throttle the car picks up speed and will go for about a minute before the revs drop back down,
I can't find any air leaks on the two rubber hoses, Could this be a EGR fault ? .. I was thinking about blanking it off anyway..
Any help would be greatly appreciated
Steve

Re: Xantia HDI 90hp Surging
I had something similar on my xantia HDi 110hp.

Mine turned out to be air leaks in pipes (not had the problem since the fix in Oct 2011) so I think you must be in the right area with the EGR valves if all your pipes are OK.

All sorted......... Your post Rory made me go back to the vacuum pipes and sure enough there was a tiny split in the pipe from the vacuum pump to the elctrovalve, How I missed it the first time I just dont know .... Thanks for posting mate
