C5 x7 fault

Post by mooseshaver »

Hello. Occasionally when trying to use cruise control it flashes at me and won't work until engine off and on.
My non dealer hooked it up and cleared the fault of incorrect speed from ABS.
It's happened again and my Dashcommand app just says P11AB unknown diagnostic trouble code.
I can't take it to the Citroen dealer as I tried almost 12 months ago (been fine in between) and they said no fault found. Which I can't believe.
Am I going to have to buy a diagbox and find an Xp laptop?

I got that at the tail end of my last Surrey to Aberdeenshire jaunt. Switched off to come through Aberdeen city, and it wouldn't engage afterwards. Stopped the car to get some shopping about 5 miles from home and when I set off again, cruise and limiter both working. It hasn't happened again, but I don't use it a lot as most of journeys are local.

When it stopped working, it kept showing the message(s) "Speed Limiter Paused", and "Cruise Control Paused" when I tried to operate them.

I can't remember. Paused is there a lot.
Now that you mention it it's making me think it did say that.

I tried the "off" button the "on" button and the "pause" button several times with no change.

I tried flicking the clutch and brake pedals, as a known fault on some cruise systems is a sticky switch behind them.
My brothers Audi cruise stopped working and it was the switch behind the brake pedal. He got a new one for under £20. Don't know if Citroens suffer from this.

I think they can suffer from this. And if I try to engage the cruise while pressing the break you get the same symptoms.

After being cleared that fault did not come back and dashcommand does not show any. But the garages diag shows faults I've put in another post. So intermittent faults and ghost faults. Hoorah.

I do have a lexia clone. Used it last week to confirm the 807 "unblock diesel filter" message really does mean the DPF needs a hole through it's head.
