Thanks.

Oh, that's a bit embarrassing, I didn't even think to search for it by name! I was just looking for usb- 15pin cable, and made the presumption the actual cable wouldn't be available!
I did a dodgy repair on mine but sadly it seems to be another issue why it's not talking to the car.

Rule out the wired connection first, then make sure you haven't upgraded Diagbox beyond the limits of the hardware (depending on the revision of the unit). What version are you currently running?

Is it possible your kit came bundled with two cables, a short and a long one? I forgot about the other one until I was clearing some storage boxes recently.

I'd check this, my kit came with a short and a long USB (to serial?) cable.

Is it possible to test HDi-engine (3.0) throttle body movement with diagbox?

Can engine oil pressure be seen in diagbox (7.02 IIRC). I just cannot find it in parameters- or whatever.

I have an interesting question that maybe Marc will know the answer to... :)

I currently have either Diagbox 7.02 or 7.15 on my other laptop, (I have both versions and can't recall if I bothered upgrading to 7.15 last time I installed) and it seems to be missing some functionality that I'd like for my 2011 Peugeot Ion.

On another forum a user posted a battery report for their Ion which you can see in the following PDF:

https://www.dropbox.com/s/8oktfs4csab0o ... s.pdf?dl=0

Of interest to me are the bottom entries "current accumulated during normal charging since the manufacture of the vehicle" and "current accumulated during rapid charging since the manufacture of the vehicle".

When I go to the same ECU and report on my car those two items (and possibly others) are absent. Looking at the top of that report I see Diagbox 8.41 was used to generate the report - so is there any way to find out what version this additional functionality for the Peugeot Ion was added in ? If it's likely to be there in the last "safe" version 7.57 (?) then I may just upgrade and try it, if so has a download link been posted for 7.57 on the forum ? I started to look through this thread but its 86 pages long... :?

Or if it requires newer than 7.57 I may just leave it alone, as it does seem to do most other things with the old version...

Simon I'm not on my PC at the moment, but I will have a look first thing tomorrow for you. There is some additional functionality in the later versions obviously, however with that comes limited functionality in terms of lack of Tele coding.

I'll get back to you ASAP

After doing some checking, Update 7.35 (from when I started to put the release dates on the update), was available from 03/03/2014, so 3 years after the iOn was released near enough. I've only been able to check Diagbox Peugeot-specific model update releases from 8.21 to 8.47 (as they've removed older releases) and there was no specific mention of the Battery Management Unit ECU on any of those.

So as Diagbox 7.35 was released March 2014 that should cover the iOn from 2011 and certainly up to and including later versions to 7.57.
I have the mega update from 7.02 to 7.57 and the update from 7.57 to 7.58, so if you want either of those, let me know. :)

If I'm already on 7.02 (I think I am) that would be easy to update to 7.58 without reinstalling it. If you want to PM me the link that would be great. ;)

I thought that 7.62 was the last version with telecoding?

I have 2 or 3 versions installed on VMs and just fire up the one that will do the job best.

Yes Mike, I think I'm running either 7.62 or 5 (haven't got the laptop on at the moment) - but not everyone's VCI hardware can run the higher versions. I just assumed Simon was ok with the earlier stable version 7.58 - which still covers models to Nov 2014. I only used a slightly later version to correct some C5 X7 specific issues. I did have version 8, but downgraded it immediately due to a lot of manual functions being removed in favour of on-line telecoding.

for my age but I'm deeply into the tearing it out mood due to this XP and Diagbox sh*te
I found a laptop with XP tried to install Diagbox, it wouldn't have it, reinstalled XP, Internet Explorer won't work because it's IE8 and doesn't work with XP SP3

Finally managed to get Diagbox loaded, connect it to the car put in the vin and the rpo numbers, no communication to any of the listed items. :x

I've spent more time on this bloody laptop computer than it took to fit the gearbox and still I'm no further forward.
