from the back I think, sounds like near side?? he put on auction it needs a new bush for rear sub frame? no idea to be honest...he reckons it hasn't affected mot or driving but I don't like the sound of it..he said his dad has driven it like it for two years.....It has a mountain of service history so I hope it isn't going to be a really expensive job cos i'm not going to spend a fortune on it,but it's been well looked after...just don't know why thy didn't get this looked at.....??

mine is creaking/banging at back., not sure what it is.. have not had ability to get under until last week (and a new premises) .. be interested to know what yours is..

no effect on driving etc.. could even be the exhaust banging.. although I just don't think it is..

well I doubt if it has really been driven like it for two years to be honest, but will find out next week hopefully.......like I say, hopefully not a really expensive job or i will use it till t&t runs out and scrap it,but it would be a shame cos if you click on the e bay link and have a look at it,it's really quite nice, especially inside.really had a lot spent on it,which would really beg the question I suppose, why didn' the guy get this looked at? having said that, some suspension valve or other went on it just before he sold it,and with system refil and bleed it was just under £400 to fix,so money has been spent on it....I don't like the "good luck with that" bit.....but like i say, nice as it is, I won't just go throwing money at it,although,as the e bay ad said, the service history is phenomenal, absolutely serviced to the hilt, last service 2 months ago....I will keep you posted once it has been in the garage......see if it will live another day, I hope so cos I really like it [-o< fingers crossed

sticky finger, what do you think it could be at worst?? it makes a cracking noise.....I was in the boot trying to work out how to fix the cargo net (dumb ass) I managed it finally, but as I was getting out, it made the "cracking" sound again, stationery obviously,so it doesn't even need to be moving, although I am a little heavy,it obviously shouldn't do that?? is something broken? snapped? I just don't know till next week...........

guy says on the ebay ad, as you can see, it requires a bush on the rear sub frame...is this likely and if so,is it a big/expensive job??

Sounds like a radius arm bearing, the kit is £60.00+ each side, then fitting costs which can be a total bugger ..........if your lucky the mount/tube is not gone oval........I scraped my last C5 due to this, best off luck :( and sorry to be "short" on the last post, had an interruption

if it is this and the mount/tube has gone oval, that surely can't mean curtains can it?? I imagine if he really has drove it for two years like this then it won't be good, if it isn't just a bush for the subframe I may ask for a refund.......guy was pretty sound.........don't really want to get rid though.......

Is your battery still ok? Mine did that not starting thing and it was due to a failing battery, now replaced.
It infuriates me to be wrong when I know I'm right

seems to be...was relieved when it fired up with a little help, but now seem to be maybe bigger problems, don't mind spending a few hundred to put it right but don't want to spend a great lot more......watch this space.....
