Got a headlamp bulb blown on the C5

I could see an improvement when changing from whatever was in previously to Philips eXtreme Vision bulbs.
Not an earth shattering difference but an improvement.

Had the car booked in for mot for yeterday and would you believe it I had a headlight bulb blow the day before! No probs getting it out but I took the spring out with it! what a nightmare trying to get that back.Took the battery off and it made life really easy. The real nightmare is the sidelight bulbs.

It was a 5 minute job at the end. Told wife to buy the Philips ones but instead she left with the Halfords branded one's that claim 90% more light!! Couldn't tell any difference so will just wait and see how long they will last. Interestingly I could not tell which one was the blown bulb and which the working one when looking at them next to each other. I expected to see some discoloration but nothing.
