Just had a quick look. Without delving too deeply, there is a cover behind the headlamp bulb which needs a few degrees turn anti-clock, pull it clear and you seem to be at the back of the bulb. The DRL will be a lot more difficult and I suspect the directional bulb will be tight but manageable. Might need to remove the plastic panel at the front of the engine bay for easier access to the side lamp, which is at the top bank of two bulbs behind the inner section of the lens.
I strongly suspect that even Halfords would manage to change the bulbs, particularly the headlamp ones.
As I say, it was just a quick look, but having changed Rover 75 bulbs, this looks like a piece of cake.
Rick.

I've checked in the english language car handbook, here's the situation, X7, regular (non-xenon) headlamps, version 08-10 (not facelifted):

What you said to be sidelamps, I've thought of as bend lighting (english direct translation logic, need to get my car vocabulary updated ... :) ) ... anyways, as I've said before, I've managed to replace ALL the bulbs, except the DRL's, HP24 ... because I'm still waiting for the led's to arrive ... for the rest, I didn't need any specific tools, just used thin rubber gloves for better grip and to avoid bulb contact with the fingers ... and was done in about 15 minutes with both headlamps ...

I must be so naive - I hadn't realised that there were so many damned bulbs in there in the first place.

Don't forget that's just one headlamp, which works parallel with this part on the same side ...

Yep, certainly not bumper off for any of the Side, Main and Dipped. Directional a little tighter and DRL even more so but they have been done. Don't know about the fog lights as I haven't looked yet, but I suspect not too difficult.
So much for the panic  over the "Bumper off". Seems like Citroen have improved on the earlier cars??? (awaits shooting down) 8-[

As for the lower part (fog lamp & directional lamp), it should be pulled out, the above picture has a marked A, that's where a torx toll is required ... haven't tried it myself, but that's in theory (and per the manual) ... will maybe get to it if I find a good white pair of foglamps ... :D ...

Yep, just had a quick look and I think you're right.

Also noticed a nylon/plastic type bit above the headlamps which looked like an adjustor.

Which bulb should I be getting? On this site:

http://www.halfords.com/webapp/wcs/stor ... artsVRN=Go

... there are different brands and some are 'xenon', 'blue' etc.

Perhaps Citroen have been reading the adverse comments on the Forum, and have taken notice? Don't all shout "No chance" all at once

Well done Mike BTW - glad it was easily sorted
