Found it
What on Earth has been done to the seats and steering wheel?
Other than that it's lovely.

Obviously, the guy is a fan of blue (as the color) ... :D ... that site is probably our main/biggest 2nd hand (though you can also buy a lot of brand new items from individuals and shops as well) selling site, so you can freely check the cars (among other things) that are on offer here and compare the prices ... 1 GBP is roughly 10,5 HRK, 1 EUR is roughly 7,6 HRK

I don't know for sure but I'm interested in what you find out. These are my thoughts though.

If you could arrange for something to hold pressure then it could probably be done. The easiest jig to rig up would probably be a wheel with tyre - maybe a small 8" one off a trailer. I don't think that a Lexia/Diagbox can check for a signal directly without pairing the valve to the car but I think that some of the expensive TPMS kit can both excite and check for a response.

On a related subject. What did you do when you put larger wheels and tyres on? Did you swap the valves across from the old wheels to the new? Or did you have some new valves and then paired them to the car? If the latter, did you do it yourself (i.e. you had access to an exciter) or did you leave it with the dealers?

Now that's surprising that you didn't have TPMS fitted. Must be local (to you) option but even my 2003 C5 had TPMS. Maybe it's only the Exclusives that had it as standard until European legislation mandated it?

Where can I read that documentation? If I get my spare set of wheels for winter tyres then I'm going to need to either disable it all or pair up the different wheels.

You may of read the issues in one of my posts that I was having with one tyre Vanja (can't remember which now!) but had it back to Citroen to sort out - issues was front right tyre indicating deflation, then I would pump it up and it would be ok for a bit then come on again - even though no loss of pressure - tried deflating well under the normal pressures and then reinflating to correct pressures and that didn't work. So whilst at Citroen, they reprogrammed the sensor - suggested I might have a slow puncture - and to keep an eye for a couple of weeks. Got 10 yards down the forecourt and the other from left sensor came on - deflation warning! Technician back out with Manager and realised of course that they can't do one in isolation - they needed to programme all the tyres! So they did that and off I went - no issues so far to date.

The Manager said that they have a certain pressure tolerance and if they go above or below this it can cause the sensor to trigger - requiring re-programming. So I'm not sure how you will get on with trying to do the one sensor - and then off the vehicle - but thought I'd throw this in for what it's worth! :-D

And here's me thinking it's all gone quiet with you - so I thought you must have bought that 7.0 Lt Chrysler or whatever it was you mentioned a while back! I said to myself he must be bored with his X7 as he's run out of things to do and needs a new project! :-D

Downloaded. Thanks for that.

Very interesting reading although a lot is just common sense. A pity it doesn't detail the pairing process as well. I'd dearly like to know whether the simple Protoctair Mini exciter, as used for the Mk1 C5 will also work on the X7.

The Auto 6 speeds don't have the DMF - just a Single flywheel - but the manual 6 speeds have a similar DMF - so I guess subject to the same issues as the rest of us - having said that, I can't say I have actually sau I've ever seen a manual C6 on the road or advertised - they all seem to have the auto boxes.

You little rascal! :-D So a C6 on the cards eh..

Well, they do have their share of issues - the active suspension can be an issue on models with that equipped (not all models have AMVAR) - and can cause ride issues. The Variable damping suspension actuators / cable connectors can corrode. Also don't bump into any bollards at the front - as the bonnet rises on these for pedestrian protection! Get the credit card ready!

The ones I have read up on in the UK for sale - have extensive service records and repair bills - reading through the work and expense in keeping it in tip top condition would have to be paramount if I was to buy one. You have to have a few shekels to keep them running over here - tax is quite high and insurance group was quite high too in the day. But wait a minute, what am I talking about, I own a Hydractive C5! #-o

You can't go for a C6 - the suspension isn't coil spring.

I believe the AMVAR was fitted to the Lignage spec and Exclusive V6 models according to the brochure. The V6 engines get the Active Bonnet and Heads Up Display.

I've seen the HUD option on 2.2, 2.7 and 3.0, so go figure
I've already figured it! - again from the 2006 brochure listing the specs (UK again). But as the years went on and sales dropped, they dumped some models and chaged the spec. it's what happens. It won't matter anyway - as you'll probably end up putting what you want on it anyway...

I just swapped my car from -08 Exclusive Sedan HDi 136 to -09 Exclusive Tourer HDi 240.

I thought that under dash ambient light strip was scrapped already in 2009, because there's no switch for it in the dash. I just came from first drive in the dark, and was a bit surprised because there still is that led strip. There's just not option to turn it off anymore on this -09 car. Strange.

Not scrapped in 2009 - ambient lighting on mine, but no disabling switch.
