Suspension Level Indicator

Post by robmill4275 »

Hi all,

I'm a new owner of a 2001 C5 estate (90hp) 2.0 HDI all seems to be going well at the moment, have some of the usual little quirks I seem to read about on here (the rear passenger door decided to lock itself and now won't open!and changing gears is like stirring soup!)

The latest is the green indicator light that shows the suspension level is going out after driving off and doesn't come back on. I'm really hoping this is nothing serious, as there are no warning lights etc...I have from time to time had the car go into limp mode, to rectify I would need to pull over and put the suspension down to the low setting then back to normal ride height, turn the engine off and start up again.

Any Ideas why this is happening?

Thanks for a great forum, I am a complete numpty when it comes to cars but have learnt so much from this forum :-D

With a few problems going on, I would say the "stock" answer is to get it on a Lexia to check the codes..........as a new owner the first thing to do is find a good specialist near you to have the car checked over and clear up the questions and faults.

Where are you ?, many here can recommend a trustworthy AND Knowledgeable Indi nearby

Thanks for your reply, I'm in Glasgow (crookston) it does say in the manual that it illuminates at night but the fact it has been on and has just gone off makes me worry!
I'll look into finding a specialist as suggested
Thanks again
