Lights on the unit are Not working ...any thoughts on repair/replace.....can it accept a later type such as the RD N2 ect ? and is there any point in that, better sound, bluetooth ??

On the earlier C5s the radios are useless or at least the CD players are, I have replaced mine with a Pioneer, not much over £40 and a super radio. You cant use the steering wheel remote but as they have a proper rotary volume control you don't really need it but you can get adaptors for some radios.

Thanks Peter, I wish to keep the OM look however as well as all the controls. I have everything connected into it including hands free, MP3 player etc all working.....never did like the look of a mismatched panel :)...I know I'm a big fussy git :)

Can't do it on the facelift model anyway. the head unit is needed to change the time/date display should you get a flat battery. I personally don't think this looks out of place...

LOL....way to many flashing lights for me but I'm an old fart ...but yep, Mk1 face lift is a problem as well as you say.

I see the eco button is on, never did find out what that did and you could of painted your toenails :)
