WHICH IS BEST? Xantia HDi V's XM 2.5 diesel.

Has anybody got any opinions on the above question? Which is the best in every day use, and what are the strengths and weaknesses of each model?

I have a Xantia Hdi 110 and a 2.5 XM, but I can't really afford to keep both on the road at the same time. I have never driven an XM (my one is a project, but should be MOT'd in the near future) However I have done quite a few miles in my Xantia and absolutely love it, comfortable, frugal and reliable, everything I could want in a car! I have always had an XM shaped itch though... Should I just stick with the Xant, or take the plunge?

Searching "XM 2.5 clutch replacement" will help make your mind up.

MOT the XM. Use it for a month, sell it. That'll satisfy the itch.

Hdi xantia ALLL DAY LONG!!! Can easilly be tuned to give more bhp then the xm.. is much simpler.. more compact.. easyer to swap a starter... easyer to do a clutch.. cheaper radiator and only one of them .. a true 50mpg all day long.. clutch change IN the engine bay ... need i go on?

Damn, I was hoping you'd say the XM was nicer!

I'm very impressed with the Xantia though. One of motorings best kept secrets....

OK, what about this then, XM/Xantia/C5.....Which one is the bestest?

XM best...

So work that out.... HDi best engine after the 2.1 12v engine, then XM best of the three cars...
