Electrovalves again...

Post by xantos »

As the topic says my hydractive electrovalves are not functioning. Again...

Just put the car together again as I replaced the seal in the doseur valve which failed and there was LHM all over the carpet on the drivers side.
The battery was disconnected for a few days as I waited for the new parts.

So when putting all back together, checked for leaks did citroarebocics and bleed the brakes the electrovalves energize here and there for a few seconds.
I know that because I have LED diodes inside the car for checking (front, back and activa electrovalve). Noticed from the start when the electrovalves were energized the car would suddenly drop, which I thought was from the air in the hydraulic system. Now when they energize it doesn't drop anymore. Also the car drops quite quickly after engine off (before it took much more time).

Connected it to Lexia and it couldn't connect to ACTIVA system, but a few attempts later it showed "ECU permanent fault". The F8 fuse is OK as I checked it a few times and even changed it. When connected to ACTIVA system it shows that the electrovalves are off and it is FIRM mode. Noticed that even though the electrovalves are off sometimes the "sport" button works and sometimes not.

Any ideas?

...and they are working... Took a few days and now everything settled down...

The damping in the front is quite ok, but in the back not so good. Car drops quite rapidly (only in the back) when it stops.
It also takes quite sometime to raise from low to normal (1-2min), but from normal to high it takes just a few seconds... I have cleaned both height correctors (took them off the car a few months ago).

Well next week I'll go to a mechanic who regases the spheres. Hopefully that will be the end of my suspension problems
The price for regasing is 10eur and for a new sphere 35eur. I really really really hope that all of them could be regased. The jolly nice life of 10 activa spheres
