Xsara CD problem.

Daughter has a 6 pack CD player fitted under her passenger seat. Although it's making noises, the cartridge won't remove. Any ideas how to resolve the problem?

Dont quote me on this but that happened to me and i just prised it out and refitted it and it was fine.

Tried prising mine out without success

I have been advised that it may be the ejection system gears are stripped, dismantling is apparently simple as is the repair.
Still have to get the unit out of the car of course

Try as I might, I couldn't get the cartridge released from the unit. With the top cover removed, I could see that two discs were fighting for a place on the turntable, but neither would push back into the cartridge. Finally I found an identical unit on ebay, and at £20 including carriage, turned out to be a quick and easy solution.
