Was it diagnosed by a Citroen specialist/dealer and what error codes did you get?
Also, which ECU, as the C5 has loads of them!

ECU's are repairable. Not sure about the Citroen one, but there are specialists who do other makes (I had a Rover 75 one done. It was sent away and returned within a week If I remember correctly. Google it.

Further to my last post, was faulty MAF sensor, put an original part on and the cars back to normal. From a scrap yard £10.00....

Well done, same with my 406, I got mine off ebay too. It started playing up again a little while ago and I noticed there was oil on the sensors, I sprayed them with carburettor cleaner and its been fine since.

When replacing a maf, do you have to disconnect the battery & use a lexia on a Mk1 C5?

Cheers, i've ordered one for my C5 which is down on power but displays no faults on the dash (not been lexia'd), apologies for O/T.
