ciroen relay 2.0 hdi now starts but speedo inop

Post by kev the builder »

hi its been a few months since i posted about my relay which suddenly decided it would,nt start due to and electrical problem which was diagnosed as a comunication error from between the engine and the ecu every thing was ok but it would,nt start! after may hours tracing all the wires and cleaning all the connections replacing the cam and crank sensors and having the ecu checked it still refused to start,i decided to leave it for a while as i was tempted to set fire to it or beat it to death, after leving it for a couple of months i decided to try again as my wife started to complain about the front garden looking like an ncp car park, 3 dead vehicals is apparently to many,so i checked and cleaned all the conections again and the begger started,it started time and time again but would,nt rev over 3k,i swapped the maf for a spare one and it now revs to 4-5k,now for the next problem it has a flat spot at 3k and the speedo will not work does any one have any ideas i,m trying to avoid my temptation to beat or burn it

yes it was put on e dis-lexia the only code it came up with was for a communications error between sensor and ecu, which was not very conclusive
