If the immobiliser light on the dash starts flashing when you turn on the key it means the CPH didn't receive the correct code from the transponder in the key. None of these clicking relays you hear will have any bearing on the problem.taffy wrote:somekind of relay that ive never heard before is clicking either where theses relays are or poss under the ecu...i put key in and turn it to prestart and a relay clicks and then clicks again and the imobiliser light starts flashing and beeping...its not fuel relay or ecu as have held them as the click occours....is there anything under the ecu box perhaps?
It's either:
* Faulty transponder in the key
* Faulty antenna on the ignition barrel
* Faulty CPH
* Faulty wiring to the CPH.
Given my similar issue I'd say a faulty transponder antenna on the ignition lock is the most likely. They're quite easy to change if you can get a replacement - three screws to take the steering shroud off, unplug it and slip it off the barrel. Getting the steering shroud back on is the fun part.
