Yes. There was one additional issue that required attention to completely eliminate the knocking noise. The car had a tow-bar fitted in its previous life. I got all the wiring removed and original wiring made good and got the external bits removed. The internal bracket was fitted a bit too close to the exhaust and was knocking against it. The bracket was adjusted to fit away from the exhaust and now the car is completely knock-free and drives like a dream.

I've just returned from the Citroen specialist and they carried out a health-check on it free of charge and passed it as trouble-free. No leaks either, and drives as smooth as silk.

Top Job ...enjoy the comfort and worry free motoring. I'm like you, anything wrong really makes my drive stressful, even the "service" light for a low washer fluid level....aggggggggggg

Price is good for down here in Berkshire. I've used Forge myself quite a few times and always been more than happy with their service and attitude.

10/10 for Forge. They did the work over my lunch break with no fuss whatsoever. Genuinely seemed concerned that the knocking noise was still there. I went for a quick coffee and sandwich a few yards away and the job was completed within 30 minutes and a quick health-check was carried out for me. No money left my wallet.

The team at Forge are also genuinely nice people. I very rarely trust anyone in the motor industry but these guys are trustworthy and I personally wouldn't use anyone else for Citroen repairs.

Had I gone to my previous rip-off merchant indie, he'd have had the gearbox out whilst I was having my coffee and would be sucking air in through his teeth and i'd be looking at a minimum of £800 being emptied out of my wallet for made-up work.

A mention in "Recommended Garages & Services" might be appropriate then :)
