rear brake application uneven

Post by john »

failed it mot for this, whats the most likely cause?

it a 1.4 mk1 berlingo with drum brakes, drivers side side wheel freely, passenger side u can hear the shoes occasionally against the drum (not on the drivers side though) but rotates freely.

ive changed both the wheel cylinders since the mot, any other ideas?

hand brake cables or pivots on the levers attached to the shoes sticking, or possibly flexi hose collapsing inside

it will pay to remove the shoes and adjuster linkage, clean it up and copper slip it all,

so which side was functioning correctly on the rollers
