Hi ,new to the forum!
My Y plate 150,000 mile 2.0 HDI has overnight gone into some sort of limp mode!
It was running fine late the other night but when started next morning it wouldn't go above 40mph!
No fault codes ,no unusual noises, wee bit smokey when revved hard in neutral!
I have checked all the pipes and found all ok,no splits or cracks!
I have pulled pipes of the turbo and can feel the vanes on the 'cold' side , I can turn the turbo with my fingers - how freely should the turbo spin? It turns smoothly but I would not say it is free running - could this be my problem?
Any advice gladly taken!

Hi Spook
Unusual that it would go into limp without putting the EML on. If you can't see anything obviously wrong, then you need to get it on a Lexia diag computer and see if there are any stored codes, and then have a look at live data for engine speed, rail pressure, manifold pressure etc, to see if you figure out what has gone astray. There's a sticky of people with Lexia - might be some one near you http://www.frenchcarforum.co.uk/forum/v ... 19&t=29178" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;
