Xantia HDi starter wiring - mea culpa

Thought I'd let you know about a possible cause of starter wiring 'failure'.

While checking wiring connections around the battery area, I disconnected and cleaned everything in sight.. replaced battery and celebrated return of interior blower and aircon. Great celebration!.

Turned key to start... nothing. No feed to solenoid.

After a week of checking and a 'spares or repair' ad on eBay... started again

Found the big brown connector through the inner wing was not in position..

yep, the starter wire goes through the wing next to the battery.... not shown on most schematic diagrams!

Reconnecting gave an immediate return to life under the bonnet

Now the aircon and blower are back to zero........

who'd have a Xantia??? This is my fifth....
