Mini road trip.

Post by qprdude »

Well here we are in the Ramada hotel off the M6 toll road after an effortless trip down from Aberdeenshire. Very light traffic most of the way and a steady 65-70 mph. As usual, a meagre return of 42 mpg, but offset by another brilliant run. This cat is just so very good on the motorway. A short hop down to Surrey tomorrow after a hearty breakfast, in time to catch the tennis final and the German GP.

Wouldn't it be cheaper to buy your own TV?

No, I get a fortnights free board and lodgings at my daughters house, free Wi-Fi and telly :-) plus, the pleasure of a 1200 mile round trip in the C5.

Nice 2 hour 20min trip down the M40. Pity about the snarl up on the M25, which cost us a little bit more time but with A/C on full blast, it wasn't such a big hardship. The mpg came down to 42, thanks to some spirited driving on the M40.
