C5 mind of its own

my friends 03 C5 estate 2.0 HDI 90

front suspension suddenly drops then rise's whilst sitting at junctions,

apparently it has also done this after shutting the engine off,

im sure this issue has been raised before ( but were/when )

havent plugged the DIS-LEXIA up it as yet

Mine goes down when the ignition (engine) is switched off. Surely that's normal.

Not really.
It should only sink a small amount overnight. Mine drops at the most an inch, sometimes not at all.
I have noticed though that after a quick and bumpy run the rear will sometimes drop a bit to normal height from a slightly raised level after reversing into a parking place and opening a rear door or the boot.

This is recognised where the steering is off centred and/or the ground uneven or on a slope.

It is also possibly due to wear of the height corrector (burned tracks) or dirt ingress.
