My 2000 registered s2 Xantia 3.0 exclusive in Wicked red

The time has come to let my beloved xantia go.
He will be scrapped this Friday unless anyone wants him :(
He failed his MOT and despite the money I have put into him over the last few years he is no longer viable for me as i don't do any of the work myself.

He has his fair share of scrapes and dings over the years but no serious damage though as part of the MOT fail his sills need welding.

Unfortunately I am in China at the moment so not able to take photos or anything so I am not asking anything for him.

If anyone is interested please TEXT me only due to time/work schedule differences on +44 777 5907268

Thanks in advance for any interest
Cheers
John

MOT fail and welding is where I stopped reading addo ;) We don't know what else it failed on either, or the state of the gearbox.

We have owned this one since it was a year old and before that it was a Citroen company car for Citroen UK LTD
it is high mileage but well serviced, it was my wife's everyday car and covered the trip from Kilmarnock to Glasgow every day
Engine and gearbox are fine and it runs ok.
It needs nothing other than basic Citroen enthusiasts love and care but with old cars that costs a fortune at main dealer prices.

We fell out with the only indie garage around after the owner died, i had a post on the forum about constant fluid leaks etc and it turned out the garage had trapped the pipe at the manifold. The main dealer managed to fix it eventually took three visits to figure out what happened but the loss of the indie garage really kind of signaled we would be losing him.
As to the MOT fail I'm not at home so i haven't seen the full list but the email my wife sent me said welding of sills, front drop links and bushes, suspension pipes showing signs of corrosion and exhaust needs replaced from down pipe back. A grand at dealer prices locally here fixes all of that so not that big an issue.

Couple of LHM leaks, one at a cylinder and one at the pump on Amber status according to the garage.

John, if it gets scrapped (which would be a shame as it can yield a lot of valuable parts, some I'd be keen to acquire) no boubt it'll be following you there..

Gingers crossed this one can be saved, if only for parts...

Then again, someone with a MIG can sort the sills easily...

Paul, I thought the bits I wanted such as the gearbox ECU and gearbox multifunction switch were already spoken for?

You don't want to do that, they've usually got bad tempers. My two have anyway.

Hi Jim, I dont think so now, thats fallen through.. Funny really, she starts every time! Im SOOOO tempted to weld the sill up, and sort the exhaust and try for another mot, and just ignore the rust on the rear arch's/wing ..

But, I dont know. She starts and runs nicely now, apart from one tapped that taps then another day it doesn;t...

Ohh, a 24v S1 Manual XM needing some welding for CXM in september... anything else??? :o
