ZX Heater Matrix?

My ZX is now my own personal sauna, there is a smell of anti freeze and the bottom of the heater is wet. I have tried to fix the leak with rad weld, but without success. Is it the heater matrix and if so how difficult is it to replace. Any help would be appreciated.

Bit of a nightmare this one, sounds like you need a matrix.I'm afraid to say thats its "dash out" (yes, nearly all of it to replace it, about 6 hours I believe. Sorry.

Thanks for that great news!! How difficult is it to take the dash out and replace the matrix. Is it made any more difficult as the car has an airbag on the steerig wheel.Your comments would be appreciated.

I did the job over the weekend, to describe it as a nightmare is a fair description. Worst bit was the lack of space between the bulkhead and the intercooler pipework.Job took all day saturday. Heater now works perfectly, Thanks for the help.
