Citroen C5,Either I am stupid or something weird is going on
Hi, as its already stated in my previous posts, I bought a C5 recently, and kept it in my driveway as i was really busy to work on it to be fully ready for the roads... its got some anti pollution which i wont bother u all in here as its discussed elsewhere... the current problem I have now is most embarrassing.. Last night I tried to refuel it but cudnt find the button to unlock the fuel nozzle. then i downloaded the booklet and got to know i was suppose to press on the top left side of the fuel tank mouth but when i tried it, it still wudnt open... it seems like its proper stuck .. any idea guys ?

Try pressing a little harder, mine often needs a couple of attempts before it lets go and springs out.

I would agree with the previous reply. The fuel flap can take a couple of presses to open. Especially if you are in a panic!
I think they lock with the central locking system so if you have locked your car to stop someone jumping in it whilst paying for fuel, it wont open.

Hi there, had a similar issue with mine when first bought it. I agree with the above comments. The rubber covered spring is mounted in the top left hand corner of the fuel flap so a firm push with a finger at that point should have the door spring open a couple of centimetres allowing you to then put your finger behind the flap and pull it all the way forwards. Make sure the car is unlocked first as the central locking shoots a pin from a solanoid into the bottom left hand side of the flap preventing it from moving. A bit of WD40 on the pin and hinge points should keep it from sticking in future.
