citroen xara picasso 2003 2.0hdi fault code

hi, i have got an airbag fault warning on the dash, have used lexia on it and it came up as permanent fault, drivers level 1,airbag igniter short circuit, code 1A01,can someone advise me as to what this is and a solution please thanks in advance andy

Never had this problem but I would be tempted to check all the connections around the airbag and inside the steering console.

thanks for reply eddie, sorted it yesturday, there is a blue connector with 2 orange wires coming from it that plugs into left hand side comms unit below where the c/c slots in and the wires had been trapped with the lower steering shroud on the metal bracket and was shorting out, i just cut the wire where it had been trapped and soldered it back together and bit of heat shrink job sorted and its a relief i can tell you
