C5 Cruise control

Post by airwolf »

Hi

I have read a lot about retro fitting cruise control but am struglling to find if it is easy to fit to a 2003/4 manual 1.8 VTR model. Before I go buying the stalk and switches can someone point me in the right direction to check what bits might allready be fitted to the car, and then maybe if someone lives not too far from rugby with lexia tool.............. :-)

Thanks

Chris

You need to first check if your throttle is motorised or directly operated by a cable. You can only retro fit CC to petrol models with a motorised throttle.

Pretty much, or you could post a pic, it says a thousand words. Some early 1.8's did have a cable throttles, I think by 2004 it will probably be motorised though but need to confirm.
