In the 8 years of having a Primera, never. And my parents haven't in their ~15 years of it being a possibility. EIther way really I think you adapt to the features of the car etc... I used to be very OCD with locking the primera, looking around and re-pressing the lock to try to remember that I locked it... now with the auto folding mirrors on lock on the Citroen, I use that as my "tell" that I've locked the car.
BTW: Simon, the buttons on the primera at least are not ones you can accidentally press, which actually caused a fair bit of wear on the buttons:
