headlights on c2

hi all, new to the board and looking for help....just bought a c2 on a 54 plate but headlights come on and stay on when i start the car and cannot find out how to turn them off ....took it to a garage and they have no idea either...all other lights do as they should, any help appreciated

Could be a number of things, but if you put the ignition on , I think it is the 1st stage, then hold in the end of the left hand stalk, after a few seconds, the car will make a bong sound and this will turn off the Auto lights, (if it has them )

thank you for the reply, i just tried it and nope they wouldn't go off
