I can tell you a little bit, because my uncle had one for ten years!

The intercooler sits on top of the engine, and he reckond at a steady 60mph the car would achive 45mpg!!!

No, its wise to do WATERPUMP if your dooing the belt, as its driven by the Cam belt.. the thermostat is over the other side at the end of the Top Hose and is simple to do.

well started to take hp pump out today untill it started to rain....i think i know what buggered it up...awhile ago (well bout 2-3 months) i was a prat and went to change fuel filter...forgetting u need to take unions off the top i proceeded to turn the top and u guessed it one of the unions snapped...i was in reading working it was coming upto 4 oclock and there was no way i was getting replacement...lucklty i carry a soldering iron and thought surely i can melt it bk together...well it did! i even used a wd40 straw to melt around the edges and its lasted 3000 miles ish....anyway removeing it today i noticed a bit of plastic in the fuel line...im guessing it found its way into the pump as i didn even need to hold the sprocket to remove the nut lol!..i got a new one a while ago but was waiting for my fix to fail before i changed it...will deffo be done this time! gona blow the pipe work out...luckly one pipe effected goes straight to pump....oh well we live and learn hey :) well jus tryin to get pump out taken ecu out etc jus the bk end and its very confined...water pipes...remove them? fuel filter housing remove?wireing harness how far is safe to move as i dont want more probs lol...still havent looked in rocker cover yet..
thanks again guys

Just shows how careful you have to be with an HDi fuel system Taffy...

Paul (Citroenxm) will tell you more about pump removal as I know he's done it...
