Antipollution fault

Post by trevsw »

GRRRR!!

lunchtime i drove my car and when i parked up it seemed to over run when i turned the ignition off... not sure but just enough for me to notice.

when i got in the car this evening service light and antipollution came on, all seems to run fine and when i got home there was no over run.

i have an mot booked tomorrow and will ask the local garage to look at the fault.

is his lexia? something a lot of garages have?

thanks

Official lexias are rather expensive so the garages that will have them will generally be those that are citroen specialists (and sometimes not even then). Depending on what car you have, they may be able to read it with their standard OBDII Reader.

I am guessing that you have a 2.0 hdi, as you do not mention it in the post. If so, the running on fault is usually caused by the High Pressure diesel pump :)
