First Ad Jackson, Id leave well alone..

The Xantia was no where around in 1989/90. They ARE a bit old, and Id expect them to be virtually dead.

I personally, wouldn't fit them anyway ...

Id not buy any spheres that are any older then 3 years!!! They wont last much longer otherwise..

Others do think they dont seem to loose pressure sitting around, but Im not so sure.. I bought some 2012 dated spheres for 30 quid last week....!

I wouldn't touch them with a barge pole!!

Who knows what you'd end up with. The seller clearly doesn't know Xantia's didn't start until 1993, and there are many different types of spheres for various different Xantia models, especially the 1993-1996 models that had a lot more sphere variations than the later ones.

Left and right can be swapped but not front and rear!

Brand new good quality IFHS spheres of known and correct types are available from places like aep direct for £23 each, theres no need to throw money away on old junk on ebay... ;)

and the 23 quid each for the IFHS spheres are bloody well spent! They are ALWAYS really soft, and never more then about 3 months old!

Ive had GSF spheres over a year old and hard and some 6 months old and hard. I do NOT rate the GSF Amtek Spheres.

IFHS for me every time! OR at least two years old..

Whilst those spheres look dodgy in the ads posted, don't be too worried. New and unused spheres stored in a cool place loose very little gas and I've tested ten year old NOS (New Old Stock) examples that have been fine... Spheres only really deteriorate when fitted to a car and are in use.

Those in the ads may be OK. never judge a sphere by its appearance! Test it and find out for sure...

They may still have numbers written on them which can be used to work out what spheres they are.
However, I agree with Paul and Simon to stay well clear of them.
Those spheres are rusty because they've had the paint chipped/rubbed off, and that would be from someone using a sphere tool on them.
You don't use a sphere tool on a sphere unless it's already on a car and you're taking it off.
So I don't believe that they are "new but left in a shed".
They may have some life left in them, but I doubt it.
