Which fluid for C5 suspension

Hi all, I have a thread going for a cracked rear suspension hydraulic pipe on my C5, so I just need to know which hydraulic fluid I need, is it the same green LHM as I have used in my old XM's and Xantia? The reason is the fluid in the C5 looks clear Thanks Julian

The C5 uses a slightly different fluid than earlier citroens. I think the difference is in terms of mineral to synthetic compounds.

The C5 fluid is called LDS and is orange(ish) and should not be mixed with LHM(green)

Best to stick to Total LDS or citroen branded stuff, rather than some of the power steering fluids and the like which profess to be the same or compatible, they probably are not,

Thanks very much for your advice, I better make sure when I ask I get the letters round the right way or it wont just be the C5 giving me a magic carpet ride......man!! Regards Julian

You can get it at any GSF branch for about £9 a litre, its a lot more if you go elsewhere.

It will be online then, I doubt if there is a GSF branch within 100 miles of Skye.
