Grumble grumble...

On the way home the same thing happened again, engine management light came on, loss of boost, boring drive back home.

On closer inspection of the receipt, the local garage replaced my duff one with a "used" one.
So whether this has been replaced with an equally poor one or the old one that's been convinced to survive another week who knows.

I certainly shan't be taking it back to them..

Going to pull the b*gger out and have a fiddle, see if I can't breathe some life into it.

Anyone know if I'd need a Lexia to clear off any faults?

Final result then, shiny new electrovalve arrived and fitted on Saturday.
Turbocharger came back to life, car back to normal again and the engine management light (or obnoxious orange light of pain as I've come to call it) rather arbitrarily turned itself off as I was crawling my way out of Derby this afternoon.

As for Woodlinkin Citroen; I'll still say that they seem like a good company, and good on them for attempting to save me money by fitting a used part, but methinks my latest car-related day off work could have been avoided...

Thanks, and once again the FCF long distance diagnostic system saves the day.

Not quite the end of the story as I'd hoped....

Happened again on the way to work this morning, boost gone orange light of pain lit back up.

This time I'm not too willing to believe that a brand new electrovalve has gone pop after a week's service, which leads me in the direction of some other electrical problem or a vacuum supply problem.

At least it's still driveable.
