Will this work ok on my c5 if i swapped it out?

Doesn't look like it, the polarity is wrong. The positive terminal needs to be on the left when facing away from you. Might be a bit too tall too... The dimensions of my battery (for my Mk1 C5) are:
278mm long
175mm width
190mm high

I've done this on a xantia in the past, using a battery with the wrong terminals layout. The battery bay would actually take a longer battery than that fitted at factory. In general terms, a 630 Cold Cranking Amps battery would suit quite a lot of diesel cars

battery will fit was worried incase not enough ampage to start the car
BEst way to change is start car leave it running remove better while still running while paying attention and pop new one on.
