PICASSO dash light illumination problem

PICASSO dash light illumination problem

Hi, hope someone can help...changed the 286 bulbs at the back of the dash clocks and they worked but one was a bit dim so i pulled it again then all of the right hand side went out..swapped bulbs and holders but they work on the left but not the right? what have i done!?

Take them out and examine them, the holders especially if they come out, I'd guess the holder is not making decent contact with the circuit board. Try swapping them side to side to confirm.

I don't think they are individually fused side to side (unlike primary lights such as headlights)

Thanks spider.

Putting the meter across the back of the dash gauge.. On the leftI have 10.9volts and on the right I have 7.2volts...no illumination on the 7.2 v side at all...

Fused together I believe...

So what gives??? heeeellllpppppp!

7v probably not enough to light a 12v bulb properly. It may be on but too dim to see.

Examine the tracks around the clocks for any signs of corrosion or other damage, also remove the multi plug(s) and check them too, a weak connection on a plug is not unknown.
