Central locking

This may be of interest to other citroenites
A while back I had a problem with the rear offside door of my xantia. I stripped the lock out and tried to test it the best I could, I also found the wiring diagram for the door lock and decided I need a new lock, purchased the lock from one of the members and proceded to fix it. Completed job, pushed button on remote, all doors locked except THE one. Back to square one, decided to fiddle with the rubber hose that comes out from the body to the doors, Got a response from the lock, managed to access the wires and found one wire broken and another one just about holding together, repaired the breaks and all now working. Am quite surprised that a R reg car should have wires that break so easy, after all the back door does not get used much these days. Maybe more when I was younger but not now.
Just an idea if anyone else has the same problem.
