That isn't a breaker bar, it is a building rotation device (manually operated!).CitroJim wrote:Me too. I just do them up FT with my small breaker and that's always been fine..flying clutchman wrote:wow! And all these years I've just been putting a jack handle on the end of my3/4 drive t-bar and giving an almighty tug.
I do, as James knows, have an almighty breaker bar for removing them though....

Re: Citroen C5 Hub Nut
Any recommendations for a 35mm socket? Does it have to be impact one if I am not going to be using an impact gun to tighten the nut?
Will this one do?

If you're not using a windy gun on it, I'd recommend getting a NON-impact socket. The reason being that impact sockets are softer than regular sockets, as they need to be malleable to allow them to deform rather than shatter under the shock of impacts, but being an impact socket won't be detrimental, and often times impact sockets are cheaper than conventional ones.
If you're using a breaker bar, and possibly a cheater bar, and socket, can you get your hands on 3/4" bar? Reason I ask is gorillaing something up with cheater bars on 1/2" you're getting close to the limits of the 1/2" square - it wouldn't be the first time I'd broke an extension/bar through over-enthusiasm with a cheater bar. A single hex, rather than bi-hex / 12 point is less likely to slip, even better is one with the scalloped corners:
And that's less than a tenner on eBay https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/265497160923
