egr solinoid operation

Just thought id ad this vid as have been tryin to track down my laggy turbo....my boost gauge conected to The egr solinoid and reving The car....

ive been trying the boost solinoid this morning on way home....over 50 miles through all gears and revs and its max suction is same as egr 0.7 bar but what i dont get is its lowest reading is 0.3 bar....i tried reving the balls of it lol and it wouldnt shut off....does this sound right as i would have thought the wastegate would close fully at some point....i have the boost kick in at 3000 problem i thought id check the solinoids first but hopefully its jus sticking

Doesn't work even if you have DocBackup running! (takes me back to the select car screen)

Nope, you might have linked to a file on your PC rather than on the Internet. The IP address 127.0.0.1 is for local host; in other words, your own network card.

I've just done more research and The solonoid for The turbo sucks The wastegate shut and eases off to open The wastgate to release pressure....I have good vac an it decreases in line with overboost so I'm putting her up on ramps morrow to check The linkages from wastegate to acuator....I bet u its rusted solid lol!!.....will report bk soon

Based on the state of your old strut tops, you are probably right. I would be inclined to get busy with some Plus Gas (to loosen things up) and then use the appropriate lubricant to keep them moving.

Hahahaaa yea I gota lot of work to do on her!
Just got new exhaust of ebay front pipe and middle 56 quid an clutch 100 got wishbones inner tie rods engine mounts intermediate bearing cvs to do yet and iv just joined The 200k club lol!

Good point that mate what lubricant would u use in such a hot flamable enviroment like this?

Sorry Taffy, but I don't know. It may be that all is needed is for the parts to be clean and smooth. However, I am certain that an expert will be able to offer you better advise.

Gota be like a high temp grease or something....iv used copper spray greese around joints an bushs thinking bout it when I sprayed The steerin uj I must have got it on zorst an had no fires so I guess its a possible answer...u from reading mate?

Same...I work down arc sometimes tilehurst..if u see my car parked there pop in I giv u a proper wash..my best mate runs it page..
