Hi Deano,

I've done these myself a few weeks back. get the whole units from citroen (I paid 90SEK, about £9 for a pair, so not too bad), makes it far easier then... Get a small allan key, and bung it in one of the holes in the side of the plastic, and pull it towards the light and pull out at the same time... if it feels like it's going to break, it probably will (I think mine had gone brittle, hence why getting the whole units is a good idea)... I then used a screw driver between the protective felt and the plastic to pry it out, disconnect the cable, connect the new one up, and push firmly home.

EDIT: costs £3.28 each in the UK, part is 6340A3

Service.citroen.com is where I got the prices from :) just pop into your local dealer they should have them in stock at around that price.

Well worth knowing - I did mine a few weeks ago, the blown one was simple but the other one, a bit dim in comparison, fell to bits. It was just held in with some black mastic as it had been broken previously.
Held together with silicon sealer now.

I dunno what happened to one of the bulbs in mine, it was as if it had exploded the bulb was black and crumbled, as I was planning on doing just the bulbs originally, I spent a good 20mins trying to get the rest of the bulb out. Not realising that when trying to put the plastic cover back on it wasn't going to stay put! I asked the dealer whether I should replace the plastic, but he said it was far easier to do the whole thing, and it is :)
Far quicker knowing you don't need to care if you break it too :)

The blown bulb on mine crumbled too. Fortunately had the trusty Leatherman to remove the base.

Been fitting some bulbs in daughter #3's Clio.
Number plate bulb silvered so presumed broken but the new one wouldn't work either - corrosion on the contacts that were a bit weak too. Nice easy job though. Leatherman to the rescue again.
Dipped headlight bulb was not quite so easy and when fitted was very dim Swapped it for another - still dim.

Worked out after a few minutes that is was an H4 salvaged from a damaged headlight from one of works lorries - it was a 70W bulb - but 24V
Substituted a 12V one and all was fine. MOT tomorrow
