ABS Fault codes

Just got back from my local Citroen dealer,after having abs ecu codes read, as recommended by many on the forum. Citroen were unable to read the codes as,apparently the unit wouldn't allow them to. Anyone got any ideas? I am coming round to idea that the ecu is faulty,and will need replacing. 1.9sxtd 1994L.

I had the same problem on my 94 td.Trying to read the codes the reader said "cannot communicate with ecu" after much investigation and replacing the ecu it turned out to be the abs relay,worth trying first at only 15.00 pounds.

unless there is a missing feed or earth at the ECU then it sounds like its faulty.
