Saxo door won't open.

Post by MonkeyMark »

Can anyone enlighten me here?
Asking for a friend. Their drivers side door won't open. When tying to unlock with fob you can here it trying to unlock but it won't. Using key feels like it stuck, frightened if snapping key.

You can't even open it from the inside. Had door card off and all looked ok but couldn't see under the locks cover (how does that come off).

Is there any common faults with these or does anyone have any ideas please?

Cheers, Mark

The drivers one on mine got very stiff too, it still is feels like the key is bending I have a replacement just not fitted it yet.

The 'protector' just pulls off, I' could not get mine back on (!)

One cause is the solenoid seizing which will make it very very stiff indeed. I think you can just about get to the clip to disconnect its rod and then its sort of twists out the way although disconnecting its rod may be enough, I'd try that if possible.
