There seem to be 3....
Some cars are only fitted with one, which they call a "headlamp height sensor" - part 5273J9 (£48.78).
Others (higher spec perhaps?) are fitted with 2, called "body height sensors" parts 5273J5 (left, £39.52) and 5273J6 (right, £39.05)
If you post/PM the last 8 digits of the VIN then I could look and see what's allegedly fitted to yours!

Remember Richard that the C5 X7 comes in both a Hydractive and steel sprung version - perhaps the "headlamp height sensor" is for the steel sprung version only ?
(I'm assuming it would measure the rear ride height to detect how heavily loaded the back of the car is thus adjust the headlights slightly...)

Re: Height Corrector C5 2008 onwards
Hi Folks,
thanks for your help - bit of a mystery as the Citroen dealers I had got in touch with could only find one height sensor attached to the rear anti roll bar (for my car) which as Richard has pointed out is called a headlamp adjuster as there is a bit of a panic to get something to sort out a problem with my suspension (is not going to driving level on the rear of the car )- so had to take a flyer and just ordered it (so if you one on ebay in the next few days you will know who it is from !!)
so thanks again and crossed fingers !1

Re: Height Corrector C5 2008 onwards
Silly question Mike, but does your car actually have Hydractive suspension or is it just steel sprung ? If it's Hydractive there must be separate height sensors for the front and rear...

Re: Height Corrector C5 2008 onwards
Hi Simon,
I think I maybe confused things in my last post - as there is one at the front (actually called body displacement corrector or something like that) however rear one seems to be called headlamp adjuster - can only assume lost in translation somewhere? - as it definetly puts up the suspension at the rear and is attached to the anti roll bar - as my one should do but the connecting arm/link is broken
Also my car has got the hydractive suspension
thanks again,
Mike

Yep sounds like its lost in translation! Fingers crossed you get the right part number. If it's based on VIN number you should...
