Not a really helpful answer but on occasion mine doesn't unlock but a push of the lock button followed by unlock again does the trick. Hasn't done it recently but it seemed to be colder mornings that produced this symptom.

i dont know if a 2004 car is old enough to suffer with broken/fractured wires between the door and body,
this might be down to the lock mechanism being drymyglaren wrote:Not a really helpful answer but on occasion mine doesn't unlock but a push of the lock button followed by unlock again does the trick. Hasn't done it recently but it seemed to be colder mornings that produced this symptom.

If its getting the signal to lock then, surely the cables are all fine...
Im thinking is it something to do with the locking mechanism, and not motor/solenoid?
