xsara picasso drivers wont unlock with key fob

My 2004 HDI drivers door wont unlock with key fob!!!
It will unlock all the other doors, but i have to turn the key in the lock itself to open...
However it will lock with key fob....
Any ideas

Not a really helpful answer but on occasion mine doesn't unlock but a push of the lock button followed by unlock again does the trick. Hasn't done it recently but it seemed to be colder mornings that produced this symptom.

i dont know if a 2004 car is old enough to suffer with broken/fractured wires between the door and body,

this might be down to the lock mechanism being dry

If its getting the signal to lock then, surely the cables are all fine...
Im thinking is it something to do with the locking mechanism, and not motor/solenoid?
