synergie timing belt

My timing belt is due for renewal on my synergie, it is a 98 2.0 petrol 8v. I have read a few posts about it on here and it seems straightforward,i seem to have a solid crank pulley so this might help i just wondered if the manual tensioner can be replaced with the dynamic type on this model before i buy a kit. Any comments on this will be appreciated. Thanks Simon.
