The basic diagnostic tools are really only capable of showing fault codes (and clearing them). Citroen (and Peugeot) have a much better system, the Lexia system. However, it is expensive. Basic Chinese clones cost about £75, but cannot use the more recent software. Easy Diagnostics have a better variant, and it can (as far as I am aware) use the latest software. They will also (if you mention you are an FCF member) knock £10 off;

Thanks Hell Razor, that one looks the part. I actually called up the local Citroen Dealer to see how much it would cost, and they are doing it for free! they said they ll tell me whats wrong with the car, and then i can take it from there! i think that will do in the short term, but long term i think i will invest in the Lexia system. i intend to have citroens for a long time to come, so it may save me in the long run!

Thanks - I've just ordered one. Got FrenchCarForum discount. They were very helpful on phone also.
