Re: Xantia water leak fix and upgrades
Yes it is in good condition under the carpets. I was pleasantly surprised the first time I removed the carpets and it's nice to see the water leak hasn't led to corrosion of the floorpan.
I've managed to get the water out of the rear light. I drilled a small hole in the underneath and it drained out. It's currently sat on a radiator to dry out. I'll seal the hole up with a little Tiger Seal in the morning

You unclip the black lampholder and tip the water out.how do I get the water out
The hole at the bottom can stay, it will let the water out.
While it's drying, check the seal to see where the water gets in; there's a trail of dust where it leaks in at the top.

Mark, It will be
I've seen Xantias that have leaked so badly and for so long they have whole families of goldfish living in the footwells but still no rust!
Interesting it's the door membranes Mirafiori. Not seen that on a Xantia but have on loads of others. I wonder if someone has been there before and not properly replaced the membranes?

Re: Xantia water leak fix and upgrades
Well, hopefully I've made some progress today
I've reinstated the drivers side rear door inner membrane and cleaned, dried and re-fitted the passenger side rear light. I've also got some new door panel fitting clips so when my new to me exclusive door panels go on they hopefully won't rattle
Surprisingly they had a few in stock, but I had to order some which will hopefully arrive next week.

Re: Xantia water leak fix and upgrades
A bit more done today.
I checked the sunroof drains and they are all clear and running correctly. I've also fitted the two front door panels, however, I ended up putting my original series 1 ones on I transfered the wood trims over though so I now have a bit of a hybrid but hey ho
I have sealed up three of the four membranes now, just need to remove the rear door panel I fitted last week to check that one is ok.
I also set about trying to fix the rear wash / wipe. The wiper has always worked but the rear washer never has Obviously it was blocked (in several places) but I managed to get it flowing again. I then discovered that unfortunately the part on the wiper arm is broken so I'm off to the scrapyard tomorrow to see if I can get a replacement.
Does anyone know if it is part of the arm or if it is detachable?

Re: Xantia water leak fix and upgrades
Part of the Arm...
Cant recall keeping any either.. S2 cars reverted to a Squirter mounted in the roof at the top of the hatch...
The other bit that blocks is the small clip bit that clips on the spindle water outlet and joins via a small pipe to the washer blade on the arm...
Actually, I might have one or two, removed from when Ive saved rear wiper motors.. But DONT ask me where they are.. Its a disater zone in the shed... A real no go...... wait, no, a real CANT GET IN!

I know the feeling all my sheds are jam packed too and I can't find stuff either
I'm sure I'll be able to pick one up at the yard tomorrow though

Re: Xantia water leak fix and upgrades
More progress:
Inner front membrane reinstated:
Front 'hybrid' door panels fitted
Look you've saved all these bits Wiring loom was modified to loose the airbag wiring that I don't need:
Wiring loom laid (passenger side shown):
'New' driver's side seat fitted:
Both front seats fitted:
I tried the seat heaters on the way home. Not sure if they work or not. The driver's side possibly, couldn't seem to get anything from the passenger side though.
I got a new rear wiper arm from the scrappy (very lucky-they now have only one series 1 Xantia in So I now have a working rear washer for the first time in the 2 and a half years I have owned the car

Re: Xantia water leak fix and upgrades
Looks like you have a Side Air Bag ECU there which I think HellRazor is looking for??
Prehaps send him a pic of the removed air bag stuff and ask him??
Nice progress, I must try and find that leather covered Non Air bag steering wheel and get some pics to you....

Re: Xantia water leak fix and upgrades
If you don't need the side airbag ECUs, I could do with one for Gracie. According to a Lexia session at CitroJims' the NS ECU isn't talking.
EDIT. Thanks, Paul, for remembering Gracies' need.

Re: Xantia water leak fix and upgrades
Funilly enough I was going to advertise them on here and ebay (on the next free listing day ) as I don't need them. I have both units that mount in the door pillars and the one that mounts in the centre consul under the coin tray. PM me and we'll sort something out if you need one.

Re: Xantia water leak fix and upgrades
Well the good news is that both seat heaters work. They take a while to warm up but both get hot.
